Show opens with the results from the Televisa Deportes Luchadore of the Year poll, which I ranted about in the 2/11 news update. From there, we get a (sigh) Gran Markus Jr. vignette, where he and Poder Boriqua plot vengeance against Pierroth and the
Boriquas. |

Dr Wagner Jr, Blue Panter & Black Tiger VS. Black Warrior, Negro Casas & Felino What a great rudo team. Wagner and Panther have collaborated on a new mask design that features half of both of their respective masks. If you haven't seen it yet, try to get an image in your head of what it would look like...got it? Okay, it's 10 times greater than that. Black Tiger begins ripping Black Warriors mask early on in the first fall. Blue Panther makes Negro Casas submit with a cool looking, rolling multiple tapatias spot. All three rudos put Warrior (who's the team captain) away with a 3-man submission hold to win the first fall. After a commercial, an outdated Rayo De Jalisco promo airs hyping his February 5 return. After some lightning effects, he promises revenge on Universo 2000 for putting him in the hospital with a piledriver. The promo airs a few more times throughout the show. We return to the action in the second fall with Panther hoisting up Negro Casas for Wagner Jr., and the two proceed to hit a mean looking 3D on him. Awesome round, ending with Black Warrior pinning Wagner with a hurricanrana. Great interaction between the rudo 'Laguneros' in the third fall. The really fun last fall ends when Warrior walks right into a Wagner-Driver out of nowhere. Panther and Wagner Jr pose over the fallen Black Warrior afterwards. Momentos Estelares Pantera, Tarzan Boy and Los Brazos are featured in this weeks highlights. Honestly, there was a great clip of two undercarders hitting great simultaneous planchas, but I didn't catch their names. Quasi-rudos Shocker and Satanico meet their trios partner, Atlantis (who brings some Brazos as backup), to discuss their upcoming match. Vignette ends when they agree to work together as professionals. |

Atlantis, Shocker & Satanico VS. Ultimo Guerrero, Rey Bucanero & Tarzan Boy Rudos ambush their opponents at the ramp for the second week in a row. They go on to win the first fall after taking turns triple-teaming each 'tecnico.' Shocker's sporting a really bad dye job this week. It looks light blue, almost grey, and admittedly distracted me throughout the match. Ambitious second fall that falls victim to some off timing. Both Rey Bucanero and Satanico, who wins the fall by pinning Ultimo Guerrero, look very crisp though, in the short time they have in the ring. In a great spot, Satanico catches wicked air when he hits a crazy plancha from the top turnbuckle, to the outside. The low blow antics of Tarzan Boy continues this week when he attempts to foul Shocker, and then claims to have been fouled himself. The ref wont' have any of that, however, and gives the third fall to the tecnicos. Shocker rips Tarzan a new ass in his post match promo. And with that, the show closes out. No Galavision commercial of the week today, as each commercial displayed an equal level of 'suck', creating a nauseating sense of harmony throughout each break. Maybe next week. |
